Being the first WAGGGS Global Advocacy Champion from Greece was deeply meaningful for me and for the Greek Guiding Association. It shaped me as a leader and as a young woman with dreams for the future, helping me realise that my voice truly matters. Today, I feel stronger, more confident, and deeply inspired by the ambition, courage, and power of young people. One of the moments that stayed with me most was my workshop at the OB-PS event in Cyprus. I was nervous at first, leading a session in a completely new setting and speaking to an audience very different from my Brownies. But what amazed me was how quickly people from diverse backgrounds connected, shared openly, and engaged with the ideas we explored. When I spoke with OB-PS Members about the awareness and confidence we build through our work with young people, their response was unforgettable. They shared how inspired they were and how much they wanted to support more young leaders like me, helping this work continue. In that moment, I felt the true power of belief, encouragement, and collective action to shape the future. Connecting with OB-PS Members from around the world added another meaningful layer to this experience. It was inspiring to meet people who actively choose to invest in young women, people who genuinely want to listen to our stories, participate in our workshops, believe in us, and learn alongside us. Through these connections, I experienced what real intergenerational cooperation looks like. For me, this is the evolution of leadership: support that is shared, respectful, and empowering. I am proud of the impact my advocacy work has already begun to make. My role as a Global Advocacy Champion has reached many young leaders for the first time. I hope to continue embedding advocacy into our association’s culture, so every young person has the knowledge and confidence to raise their voice. Seeing more young leaders step forward already fills me with hope and motivation. Looking ahead, I hope to continue using my voice, skills, and experiences to create change. As a young woman who has gained the confidence to speak up, face challenges, and support others, I want to inspire more young people to do the same. I may not know exactly what the future holds, but I am confident I can help create a better one. For my community, my National Association, and beyond. I am truly thankful for this journey; OB-PS Cyprus was more than an event; it was a moment of growth, connection, and belief that I carry with me, guided by passion, purpose, and hope. I FEEL STRONGER, MORE CONFIDENT, AND DEEPLY INSPIRED BY THE AMBITION, COURAGE, AND POWER OF YOUNG PEOPLE. 15
